A former Chairman of the House ‘of
Representatives Committee on
Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, once, questioned President
Muhammadu Buhari’s “inaction” following
recent face-off between the Senate and
the executive.
The Senate have twice rejected the
President’s nomination of Mr. Ibrahim
Magu as the substantive chairman of the
Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission.
The lawmakers have also put on hold the
consideration of a letter from the
Presidency requesting legislative approval
for the nomination of 27 Resident
Electoral Commissioners for the
Independent National Electoral
Commission, insisting that the names will
not be considered until the President
removed Magu as Acting Chairman of the
EFCC.
In series of tweets via his @AbdulAbmJ
handle, Jibrin noted that President
Buhari’s inaction recently painted a
picture of him that was in contrast with
that of the “no nonsense [Army] General”
many Nigerians knew.
He tweeted, History will be kind to PMB
for his intergrity, building opposition and
ending insurgency but may never forgive
him for his many inactions (sic).
PMB’s inaction are so numerous that you
are tempted to doubt if he is aware of his
inactions and all the absurdity presently
going on
Is this the Muhammadu Buhari we
know? the no nonsense general?
Noooooo something is wrong! if not, we
would have seen more decisive actions
Could it be PMB’s access to information
and current happening is restricted in an
attempt to reduce his worries and help
him fully recover. Could it be some powerful people are
aware of this situation PMB may be in and
are taking advantage of it and/or taking
things for granted
Well, things are not adding up!
uncertainty and crisis everywhere, we are
moving too slow when we can move
faster. Is the C-in-C even aware?
